Snow Day Predictor
The Snow Day Calculator helps students, parents, and educators predict the likelihood of school closures due to winter weather conditions. It considers multiple factors including snowfall amount, temperature, wind speed, and local school district policies to estimate the probability of a snow day.
Calculation Formula
Our formula calculates snow day probability using: (Snowfall inches × 20%) + (Wind Speed mph × 15%) + (Temperature °F × 10%) + (District Policy Level × 55%). Probability above 70% indicates high closure chance.
How to Use
Enter current weather conditions: temperature in Fahrenheit, snowfall in inches, and wind speed in mph. Select your school district's policy strictness (1-5). Click Calculate to get your snow day probability. Clear button resets all fields.
